The Leadership and Management Development Council is proud to work
closely with its lead corporate sponsors.
BC Chamber of Commerce
The BC Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization that represents
the interests and concerns of local Chambers of Commerce and corporate
members from across British Columbia. Established in 1867 and formally
incorporated in 1951, the BC Chamber provides a range of programs and
services to its members, and routinely advocates to Provincial and Federal
governments on behalf of its members to ensure that their concerns are
being heard. As “The Voice of B.C. Business,” the BC Chamber
of Commerce represents over 32,000 businesses belonging to 128 Chambers
of Commerce and 450 corporate members located in communities throughout
British Columbia.
Certified Management Accountants of B.C.
The Certified Management Accountants (CMA) Society of British Columbia
is proud to have been a sponsor of the Leadership and Management Development
Council of B.C. for more than seven years. There are 4,000 CMAs in British
Columbia holding mid to senior level positions in all industries throughout
the province. Many of our members are entrepreneurs who are either employed
in or contract their expertise to small businesses. With over 950,000
jobs being supported by small business, the CMA Society is very mindful
of the significant role they play in our overall B.C. economy. We support
the continuing efforts of LMDCC to assist these businesses to grow and
prosper.
Our support for the Leadership and Management Development Council provides
CMABC the opportunity to contribute to the development of business and
leadership skills amongst entrepreneurs in BC. We value the role this
Council plays as a catalyst in the community, and look forward to a
continuing relationship with them.
Fasken Martineau
When our founder, Joe Russell, first practiced law in Vancouver 107
years ago, his clients were largely the independent business owners
whose enterpreneurship and tenacity helped create the City of Vancouver
and contribute to the growth of British Columbia. Our firm continues
to admire and nurture the spirit of small and medium-sized businesses
in B.C., most recently through our proud participation as a lead corporate
sponsor of the Leadership and Management Development Council of British
Columbia (LMDC).
Fasken Martineau is the merged firm of Russell & DuMoulin in Vancouver,
Fasken Campbell Godfrey in Toronto, and Martineau Walker in Montreal
and Quebec City. It is one of the world’s leading international
business law and litigation firms with more than 650 lawyers with offices
in Canada, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
Our approach is built on relationships; our success stems from the
understanding that today's entrepreneur is tomorrow's business leader.
Helping to ensure that business leaders of tomorrow have the skills
and support they will require is a community responsibility we are honored
to accept through our partnership with the LMDC.
Telus
TELUS' success and survival in a highly competitive marketplace has
been accomplished with a knowledge and vision that people are our greatest
asset. It is the quality, knowledge and combined skills of our employees
that will determine our success in a global marketplace. The Leadership
and Management Development Council of B.C. holds as its fundamental
principles those same beliefs for the success of business and future
business leaders in the province of British Columbia.
Our ability to combine our efforts to develop the knowledge, skills
and leadership in our business community will determine British Columbia's
success in a global marketplace. We are proud to support the LMDC in
the development of our most significant competitive advantage - our
people.
