Jim Case, CEO
Scotia Dealer Advantage
Mr. Case is responsible for all operational aspects of Scotia Dealer
Advantage, formerly Travelers Automotive Finance, guiding strategic
and tactical initiatives for the company.
He began his career in finance with Citibank Canada. In 1984 he founded
Benndorf Verster Leasing, a captive office equipment leasing company,
and went on to found the Travelers Financial Group in 1986. Travelers
Financial Group includes Travelers Financial Corporation and Travelers
Acceptance Corporation.
Mr. Case is board member of the National Automotive Finance Association,
past board member of the Canadian Finance and Leasing Association and
is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (r) 2006 Pacific Award
recipient. Mr. Case and his team have successfully completed the sale
of Travelers Automotive Finance, Canada's second largest special finance
lender, to Scotiabank. Mr. Case will be responsible for the integration
of the acquired business until February 9, 2010, after which he will
return to a more active role in the Travelers Group of Companies.
