The Human Resources Quiz

Attracting and retaining staff can be a real challenge for all companies, no matter what state the economy is in. Modelled after the LMDC’s successful Small Business Check-up tool, the Human Resources (HR) Quiz is designed to provide businesses with helpful information and resources to help them focus on the HR priorities for their business.

The HR Quiz is a series of questions to help small business owners and managers with employee recruitment, retention, and leadership. The answers to these questions will highlight what business owners are doing well and where they might need assistance. It includes information on proven practices, tips and links to other web resources, and a template for plan to address any areas of improvement. Writing out your plan for improvement gives you a road map to work with and to measure your progress toward your goals.

he HR Quiz was developed in partnership with the BC Chamber of Commerce, Retail BC, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Okanagan College, the permanent Small Business Roundtable, and the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue with assistance from the Leadership and Management Development Council of BC.
